Adrienne LaBranche Tucker, Ph.D.:
Adrienne LaBranche Tucker is a strong supporter of water conservation and sustainability. Her background in the environmental sciences provides a strong basis for educating and promoting water sustainability. Adrienne has a B.S. in horticulture from Clemson University, M.S. in crop science and Ph.D. in environmental planning from Virginia Tech. During her Ph.D. studies, Adrienne developed a state wide website that assists landscape professionals in scheduling irrigation to promote water conservation. Adrienne has also worked with the Cabell Brand Center to attain grant funding to develop the first Virginia Rainwater Harvesting Manual, which she also co-authored. Adrienne later worked with the Center to attain additional funding to implement commercial rainwater harvesting systems at two Virginia sites. Adrienne also worked with Rainwater Management Solutions and assisted on numerous LEED certified projects implementing rainwater harvesting systems throughout the country. Likewise, Adrienne has been an invited guest lecturer on rainwater harvesting at numerous venues.
Moonsun Jeong, Ph.D.
Dr. Jeong received a Ph.D. degree in Environmental Design and Planning from Virginia Tech in 2010. Her Ph.D. dissertation, "The Adoption of Low Impact Development by Local Governments", focused on the LID policy and regulation adoption by local governments. Dr. Jeong's research interests are in sustainable community development, innovative stormwater management, watershed protection, and green infrastructure. She has a strong background in urban planning and landscape architecture and has contributed to multiple research projects regarding sustainable tourism, green infrastructure planning, natural resource management, and community development. While working on these research projects, she collaborated with many local governments and stakeholder groups over workshops and field studies. Dr. Jeong also has extensive experience in GIS analysis and mapping with ESRI ArcGIS programs, remote sensing, image classification, and photo interpretation of aerial imagery.
